Bay Point
Lagoon Legend, the golf course known as one of the toughest and most challenging courses in the Florida Panhandle, underwent an “extreme makeover.”

The course closed in November 2004. Construction is complete on the new course and re-opened under its new name, the Nicklaus Course at Bay Point, on September 17, 2005.

Nicklaus Design team was selected to completely redesign and spearhead the project.

The redesign consists of a complete renovation including the re-building of the tees, bunkers, and greens, as well as re-contouring of the fairways.

This par-72 championship-caliber course measures over 7,100 yards and is the first Nicklaus course in the Florida Panhandle.

The new course offers a dramatic and enjoyable challenge for novice and avid golfers.

It incorporates the natural terrain of scrub oaks, pines and salt-water marshes and offers panoramic views of St. Andrew’s Bay.

The new course opened to rave reviews and was just named by Travel + Leisure Golf as one of the most worthy redesigns and notable debuts in the state of Florida.

Eglin AFB Golf Course
The Eglin Golf Course offers 36-holes of championship golf. Open year-round, it's ranked 1st in AFMC, 3rd in US military courses and 61st among the thousands of great Florida courses. The course is located 4 miles east of Eglin's East Gate in Niceville. The Golf Course complex consists of 450 acres with 250 acres of fairways and greens and two separate courses - the Eagle and the Falcon. An astounding 100,000 rounds of golf are played per year. The facility offers a wide range of services including the Pro Shop, automated carts, locker storage, rental equipment, lighted driving range, a chipping green and two practice putting greens, one of which is lighted. There are rain shelters on both courses and a lightning warning system has been installed for golfers' safety.

Highland Oaks
Located in the southeast corner of Alabama, Highland Oaks features some of the longest and most classically designed holes on the Trail. Highlands, the core nine, is relatively open, with several lakes in play. The peninsula green at the par 3 sixth has an elusive, beckoning quality.

Marshwood has been made famous (or notorious) by its behemoth par 5 sixth, which stretches to 701 yards from the tips. The 422 yard par 4 ninth, a left to right dogleg, is arguably the best hole at the site and has a tilted green elevated above a swathe of wetlands.

The Magnolia nine is well named: specimen magnolia trees dot the higher ground, which is reached via a 1,000 foot long wooden bridge spanning a marsh filled with lichen-dappled trees. The feature hole is the ninth, a 451 yard par 4 that brings you back to the clubhouse and is guarded by a large pond.

The nine-hole Short Course, has demanding bunker placements, three water holes and possibly the best putting Bermuda greens in the South.

Highland Oaks has played host to notable events such as the 1999 NIKE Tour Championship, 2000 Buy.com Tour Championship, and the 2001 Golf Channel Drive, Chip & Putt Regional Finals.

Indian Bayou
Indian Bayou offers three nine-hole courses. Recently renovated and updated, Indian Bayou’s 27 holes feature wide, forgiving fairways with beautiful lush, undulating greens, majestic pines and sparkling lakes and water features.

One of Northwest Florida’s finest courses, Indian Bayou is enjoyable and challenging for golfers of every skill level.

Windswept Dunes

Windswept Dunes - A Golf Experience That Transcends The Ordinary

To create a one-of-a-kind golf course, designers must work to preserve as much of the natural vegetation and topography as possible.  Windswept Dunes designer and builder Doug O'Rourke has succeeded on all counts.  Featuring miles of spectacular white sand dunes (some as high as 20 feet!), large rolling fairways, artful bunkering and immaculate conditioning, this track frames itself in rare, unspoiled beauty.

While the 750 acre setting is breathtaking, what makes Windswept Dunes truly remarkable is that there are no crowds, no hustle and bustle at all.  Here, off the beaten path, it is easy to be serene; it is natural to be happy.

The spacious 18-hole is a demanding 7607 yards from the championship tees, but with five additional sets of tees, offers challenge and excitement for golfers of all abilities.

As you begin playing the course, you'll know you're in for something special.  Lush green fairways are generally wide and generous off the tee.  The sand dunes, often stretching from tee to green, present trouble only for the wildly errant shot.  Even then, the dunes provide a welcome alternative to a ball lost in a backyard, swamp or lagoon which is your fate at most other courses.  In fact, you'll face only select water at Windswept Dunes.

What the tee shot offers in forgiveness, the approach shot takes away with the need for precision.  Bunkers gracefully finger their way around most greens.  The greens themselves are large and velvety smooth, demanding a deft touch with the putter.

Each of the dune-lined holes has its own unique character, offering one memorable experience after another.  There is simply nothing like it - and no better value - in the area.  You'll be swept away!
